We Did Not Set Out To Build A Beauty Brand…
We Started As A MISSION!
I was a practicing aesthetician with a deep passion for transforming aging and problem skin conditions over 35 years ago, and that passion for learning and discovery came from my own personal history of difficult skin conditions I experienced myself and those of my family, which also included a long history of skin cancer. When conventional medicine was unable to help me beyond the scope of drugs and topical medications to treat the symptoms, I was determined to find the underlying root causes of my condition so I could do something about it and understand what was actually in OTC skin care products that were available to me at that time. That decision set me on a lifelong journey of adventure and discovery that ultimately changed my life and, as a result – the lives of thousands of others.
Fast forward a number of years, my husband (who was an herbalist and compounder of plant medicine) observed a number of skin challenges clients presented in my clinic and began to make herbal tinctures and remedies for them. His understanding of the energetics of medicinal plants was astounding, and his ability to match botanical ingredients to skin conditions seriously changed my client’s skin.
We never thought about this as a business, much less creating a “beauty brand” – we were just busy finding and wildcrafting the roots and herbs we needed to help correct skin issues people presented to us as we traveled around the country teaching Herbal Medicine classes and workshops, but that is exactly what happened…And that, you might say, is history.
