What’s My Skincare Routine?

Share:

What do I use?   ~   In what order?
And do I really use all these products myself?

My clients have asked me about my personal skincare routine for years:

  • What do I use?
  • In what order?
  • And do I really use all these products myself?

The answer is yes—but I also believe skincare should be practical.

My days are busy, and sometimes hectic, so I need a routine that is simple enough to follow consistently while still giving my skin the thoughtful support it needs. I am interested in visible results, but I never want to achieve them by repeatedly overwhelming or stripping the skin.

After more than 35 years of working with aging, sensitive, environmentally stressed, and compromised skin, I have learned that results do not come from using the greatest number of products. They come from choosing the right formulas, using them in the right order, and paying attention to what your skin is telling you.

Evening is when I concentrate on thoroughly cleansing away makeup, sunscreen, excess oil, and everything that has collected on my skin throughout the day. This prepares the skin for hydration and nourishment.

Step 1: PreCleanse & Detox

I use PreCleanse & Detox at night, before my primary cleanser.

This is my “take the day off” step. The soft gelée texture melts makeup—including eye makeup—while helping loosen sunscreen, excess surface oils, and daily debris.

A primary cleanser can only do its best work when it is not being asked to remove an entire day’s buildup at the same time. Precleansing creates a cleaner canvas without leaving my skin feeling tight or depleted.

I massage it into dry skin for at least 60 seconds and remove it with a warm washcloth.

Cleanse & Purify is not an ordinary foaming cleanser. It is a rich, aromatic cleansing paste made with Laminaria and Spirulina algae, shea butter, sunflower seed oil, Irish moss, and carefully selected botanical extracts.

Marine algae naturally contain minerals and trace elements that help condition the skin and support a fresh, healthy-looking complexion. The cleanser thoroughly removes the residue loosened during the first cleanse while leaving the skin feeling invigorated rather than stripped.

This is why I have always been so particular about cleansing.

Cleansing is not simply about removing surface grime. It sets the stage for everything that follows.

Step 3: Cellular Renewal Mist

After cleansing, I mist my face and décolleté with Cellular Renewal Mist.

This elegant botanical mist combines rose and Roman chamomile waters with aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, linseed, lupine, oat, algae, and Helichrysum.

It helps replenish hydration, soothe the look and feel of dryness, and prepare the skin for the products applied next.

I also keep one nearby during the day. A few light spritzes refresh my skin whenever it begins to feel dry or depleted.

Step 4: Liquid O2 Extreme Eye Repair

The eye area is often one of the first places to show dehydration, fatigue, environmental stress, and changes in firmness.

Liquid O2 Extreme Eye Repair combines a triple-algae complex with niacinamide, retinol, hyaluronic acid, stabilized vitamin C, antioxidants, and oxygen-carrying ingredients. Together, these ingredients help hydrate the delicate eye area while improving the appearance of fine lines, uneven tone, crepey texture, and puffiness.

I apply it gently around both the upper and lower eye area, morning and evening. Because it contains retinol, daytime sun protection is especially important.

Step 5: Bio-Peptide Firming Cream

Bio-Peptide Firming Cream—previously referred to in this article as Cellular Firming Cream—is my streamlined moisturizer for both morning and evening.

It combines marine peptides, seaweed extracts, hyaluronic acid, nourishing plant oils, rose geranium, resveratrol, and antioxidant-rich astaxanthin. The formula helps replenish moisture, visibly plump the skin, soften the appearance of fine lines, and support a smoother, more resilient-looking complexion.

It provides the nourishment I want without feeling unnecessarily heavy. For me, that balance is essential: simple, comfortable, and effective.

Several Times a Week: The Daily Glow

My skin benefits from regular, thoughtful exfoliation to keep it feeling soft and looking fresh—but I do not believe exfoliation should leave the skin feeling raw or overworked.

The Daily Glow is both a face-and-body polish and a moisture mask. Jojoba wax beads help lift dry surface buildup, while oats, aloe vera, sunflower seed oil, rose water, and other botanical ingredients help condition and soften the skin.

I can use it in two ways:

  • As a polish, I gently massage it over the skin for approximately 60 seconds and rinse well.
  • As a moisture mask, I leave it on for 10–15 minutes after polishing, then rinse and follow with my mist and moisturizer.

How often you exfoliate should always depend on your skin’s present condition. More is not necessarily better. The goal is smoother-looking skin without compromising the moisture barrier.

Why This Routine Continues to Work for Me

My routine is built around a simple progression:

Remove → Cleanse → Hydrate → Treat → Moisturize → Protect

Each step prepares the skin for the next. The products are designed to work together, but the routine can also be adjusted as the skin changes with the seasons, stress, travel, hormones, health, and age.

I do not believe mature skin should be treated aggressively simply because it is aging. Aging skin can also be dry, sensitive, reactive, or environmentally stressed. A thoughtful routine should address visible changes while respecting the skin’s barrier and its natural protective functions.

That has always been the foundation of my work: understand the skin first, then choose the ingredients.
