FROM EMILY'S FORMULATION DESK

CHAMOMILE — THE SKIN COMFORTER

Chamomile is one of those botanicals I reach for when skin is telling us it has had enough.

For generations, its delicate flowers have been valued for their ability to comfort sensitive, reactive, and easily stressed skin. Chamomile naturally contains a complex collection of plant compounds, including flavonoids and aromatic constituents

such as bisabolol and chamazulene, which are associated with soothing and antioxidant activity.

What I love about Chamomile is its gentleness.

When the skin barrier has been challenged by dryness, environmental exposure, over-treatment, or everyday stress, the answer isn't always another aggressive active. Sometimes the skin needs ingredients that help quiet the appearance of irritation and give it an opportunity to regain its natural balance.

Chamomile provides that kind of botanical support.

It helps comfort the look and feel of stressed skin while supporting the healthier, calmer environment the skin needs to restore resilience.

Healthy skin isn't created by constantly pushing it. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is help it become calm enough to recover.

The Missing Step Between Cleansing and Moisturizing... Why Damp Skin Absorbs Skincare Better

Most people think of skincare as a simple sequence: cleanse, moisturize, done.

But there’s an important step between cleansing and moisturizing that can dramatically improve how your skincare performs — hydration through misting.

At Sunshine Botanicals, we teach that hydrated skin is receptive skin, and applying products to slightly damp skin helps them absorb more effectively and support healthier skin function.

This small step can make a big difference in your results.
